Open Fresh

An open source, AI-enabled Hello Fresh style meal service.

Open Fresh is an open source AI meal service system I built which curates personalized meal plans and automates users' grocery shopping. It's inspired by the meal service company Hello Fresh.

Once you have created a meal plan and edited it to your tastes, the ingredient purchasing agent logs in to your grocery website account and adds the ingredients to your cart for you. All you need to do is check out! The ingredient purchasing agent is smart enough to know how to update recipes on the fly if there are ingredients missing and does its best to match the quantity of ingredient required to your meal plan.

Main Challenges

• Automating the grocery shopping experience: I tried reverse engineering the grocery website's API, but ran into limitations. I decided to use Selenium web browser automation instead.
• Handling Missing Ingredients: I used GPT function call prompt chains to get GPT to accomodate missing ingredients by updating recipes.
